Do we have to tell candidates that AI is used in screening?

Legal has asked whether our careers page needs an explicit notice about automated processing in screening. Requirements differ by jurisdiction and we hire across four countries. What are people actually publishing?

We put a short paragraph in the privacy notice linked from every job advert: what is automated, what a human decides, and how to request review. Short and specific beats a legal wall of text. Confirm the exact obligation with local counsel for each country though.

We disclose regardless of whether it is required. Candidates who ask are usually reassured that a person makes the call.
