Salary changes effective mid-month sync as if effective from the first, so we are manually correcting a dozen records every run.
What they have tried
Vendor says the connector only supports period-start effective dates.
Desired outcome
A workaround that does not rely on someone remembering.

We built a pre-run exception report: any record with an effective date not equal to period start gets flagged and checked before approval. It does not fix the connector but it makes the failure visible every time.
