Employee wants to work from another country for three months

First request of this kind and I would rather write a policy than make an exception. What does yours cover?

The clauses that matter, especially around tax and duration limits.

Ours caps it at 30 days per country per year, requires prior written approval, and states the employee remains on the home payroll and is responsible for immigration status. Anything longer goes to finance and tax before approval.
Watch permanent establishment risk. A salesperson closing deals abroad is a very different exposure from a developer writing code.
